Ben Glaetzer, a Roseworthy graduate, grew up within the wine industry commencing his career working as a cellarhand at Barossa Valley Estate and then Winemaker at Tyrrell's. He has traveled and worked extensively throughout the world's wine regions and is now based in the Barossa Valley where he makes the wines for Glaetzer as well as being winemaker and principal shareholder of Heartland Wines from the Limestone Coast and Langhorne Creek, and Mitolo from McLaren Vale.

Featured Chef Nick Dean
Nick began his illustrious Blue Star career in the dish pit at age 15! By 16 he had a sandwich named after him - The Dean, a pastrami wonderland! Nick has a knack for food and enjoys the creative freedom offered at The Blue Star. He enjoys creating lunch specials as much as his after-hour passion for skateboarding. Given the chance he would visit Spain and check out the local sites, architecture, culture and unique skateboarding venues. Thankfully, his worst injury wasn't in the kitchen but a broken wrist from a skateboarding fall. Did you know the Springs has several skateboard parks? You might find Nick at any one of them given some free time. He is especially close to his 23 year old older brother and considers him his idol. Nick Dean has diverging future plans - move from lunch line cook to Blue Star chef or start his own business (a skate/tobacco shop).
Stop by at lunch and say hi to this fun-loving 19 year old. He just might share his recipe for his favorite meal of steak and baked onion!

All you have to do is come in and we will give a portion of sales to four deserving non-profits!

Eat, drink we'll donate to help our local non-profits. Purchase a cool inaugural I donated to the cause shirt. Shirts are $8 and any payment above that amount will be donated to the non-profits!
