One feature that makes The Blue Star a favorite is our monthly changing menu.
While often focusing on Mediterranean and Pacific Rim cuisine, over the course
of the year, The Blue Star chefs prepare food from nearly every cuisine in the
world. The frequency of the changes keeps the chefs excited and interested in
their own food and this excitement is carried from the kitchen to your plate.
The mix of classical fine preparations with peasant food from around the world
provides a wide variety that is sure to offer something for nearly everyone.
With chefs used to change and able to cook so many cuisines, with so many
techniques, special requests or even entire special menus are no problem. Many
a loyal customer has said, "going to The Blue Star, you have no idea what you
are going to eat, but you can bet you will like it".

Over the years The Blue Star has won scores of local awards, culminating in
2003 when readers from both local papers, the Gazette and the Independent,
chose The Blue Star as Colorado Springs' "Best Fine Dining" restaurant. This
was the first "sweep" ever in the city. The Blue Star also consistently wins
reader's choice awards for "Best Staff", "Best Classy Bar", "Best Place to be
Seen" among others. In 2002, the Denver Post even named The Blue Star burger
the "Best Burger in the State". We have been recognized by the Wine Spectator
since 1998 and continue to improve our list weekly. The Blue Star is also at
the top of the list for concierges at the city's finest hotels.
